Our practices are based from historical teachings, scientific research, and ancient philosophies, comprised of short stories, paragraphs, readings, which are all tied to an inspirational methodology based on practical measures to overcome adversity, hardship, and difficulty, and all with the purpose to become better.
When a young person or an adult chooses R.I.S.E and uses the Practices, they are learning skills that empower them to face life’s challenges in different and unique ways. Our programming focuses on creating an environment for social-emotional learning through Cognitive Behavior Theory (CBT) which influences (SEL). R.I.S.E aligns the developmental needs of humans with the 5 CASEL competencies.
The Collaborative for Academic, Social, and Emotional Learning (CASEL) defines SEL as “the process through which all young people and adults acquire and apply the knowledge, skills, and attitudes to develop healthy identities, manage emotions and achieve personal and collective goals, feel and show empathy for others, establish and maintain supportive relationships, and make responsible and caring decisions.”
The whole school program's focus is geared to educate the staff on the background and science of resilience. The whole school/staff program is for building the education and morale of the staff through activities and edutainment. The online course consists of 22 practices of resilience training.
As a registered nonprofit the programming and online course are free. We ask for donations for the professional development training sessions we provide. For customized professional development for your district, school, business, or youth program, please contact us.
Just contact us and we’ll have a conversation about what you need. The main thing we expect from organizations that use R.I.S.E Resilience is constructive feedback and evaluation data.
Once you decide to use one of our programs, we will schedule a professional development day that works for your team — you can begin using our curriculum in just a few weeks. Specific timeframes will be discussed in your initial phone call.
Our Professional Development workshops and curriculum can be adapted to groups of any size.
Throughout your use of R.I.S.E Resilience, we offer opportunities for our R.I.S.E Coaches to visit your site (virtually or in-person) to provide additional training, guidance, and constructive feedback to help make R.I.S.E Resilience as effective as possible for educators and students.
